Hybrid Materials For Future Solar Cells Under Development
.jpg)
Currently Solar energy technology is great but everyday steps are taken to makeSolar Panels more effective, cheaper and innovative. The Instituto Madrileño de Estudios Avanzados en Nanociencia (IMDEA Nanoscience) has entered a collaboration with University of Hamburg to develop a composite material based on semiconductor nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes as functional materials for efficient light emitting diodes and photovoltaic devices.
This collaboration will help to make our current solar energy technology leap forward meaning cheaper panels that gather more energy and be more efficient. These have yet to come in production and are still in the testing stages but when complete will make a great set of panels. Stay tuned to find out more on the development of this Hybrid material.
