World’s Largest Solar Powered Winery

Here we have stumbled across the world’s biggest solar powered winery. This is not the first winery to be powered by solar energy but is by far the biggest.  This solar winery is going to be built for Constellation Wines Gonzales winery in Monterrey County, CA.  After the construction has been completed it will produce over 170,000 square feet producing 1,700,000 kilowatts hours a year.

I think it’s great that we see big businesses doing something to contribute to helping out our environment. Also the energy that this factory does not use it will use to power the surrounding houses which I think is an excellent idea. Let’s hope to see more of these popping up in the future.
